I am having the same problem with a 4100 JD that started fine until recently. I replaced fuel, filter, added conditioner. Checked relay, module and voltage to glow plugs. All OK. I have to crank quite a long time to get it to start after it sits for a day (gets cold). Black smoke pours out after it starts. It has to be glow plugs, right?
