A train (UPRR) went thru Baker City and Haines, OR this evening (11-20-09, app 4:00pm). Train had about 68 flatcars with 2 JD tractors each. All but about 6 cars had one large articulating, and one large row-crop style. 6 had two large row crop style tractors. All tractors were big--probably 200+ hp. Train was headed west, towards Portland, OR. Anyone know where all this green iron is heading? Can't believe it is all headed for retail in this region, but can't picture where the export market is either. Any info for me and my neighbors?
