I currently own a Scotts John Deere L2048 lawn tractor that I have had for about 7 years now. I would like to get something that is a little heavier duty. I was thinking about something like a 214 or 140.

Anyone have suggestions on what model to look for? I am looking to spend about a $1000. I also heard it is getting harder to get parts for some of the older models.
