I have John Deere 5220 tractor which has trouble starting. I thought it may have been the battery but I put in a new battery and am having the same problem. Cold weather would not be a factor has it has been around 80 the last few days.

When I turn on the ignition there are clicking noises but if I put jumper cables on the battery the tractor starts. I can then restart the tractor the next time without jump starting with cables. But the next day I have the same problem with the tractor not starting. I had someone from the local John Deere dealership look at it and he could not figure it out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
