Did the peerless 840a come in any other tractors besides the John Deere's? Most people with the JD's think they are worth my first born and I hadn't had any luck with the 214 or the 170. Now my 180 transmission is going and if I need to purchase another tractor I'm not looking into the JD's anymore. If I can get a transmission cheaply I'd rather go that way as it is the only thing wrong with the machine.
