If it's the original battery? It may show 12 volts, but there may be no amps behind it to turn it over. The fact that you have had to jump start this for quite a while tells me the battery would be the first thing to check. Get it "Load tested" for free at most auto parts stores, typically the little batteries in these machines only last 2 or 3 years because of their small size and the vibration they are subjected to.
