I have a john deere 4010 that i cannot get to run without eventually fouling the plugs. To start with the carburator was totally rebuilt. I installed electronic ignition, along with new coil, wires, and plugs. I use autolight 386. It also smokes and smells like it is running rich. timing is right on. I thought about checking valve clearance, but at this point anything seems like a shot in the dark. Otherwise, i like this tractor, since i bought it just over a year ago. Any advise is greatly appreciated.
