Dave : On the 750 I believe it has a small plastic container above the engine valve cover and on the left side as your setting in the operators seat and it should have diesel in it and a rubber hose attached at the intake manifold. There is a wire going to where it attaches. That is the cold weather start and diesel drips onto a hot glow plug and vaporises the diesel for cold start. This has a relay that will cause the problem you describe.
I live in a tropical climate and do not need the cold start system so I wired from the starter solenoid directly to the ignition switch and it has worked fine for years since that.
