: I have a 1988 jd 322. It starts and idles fine. As soon as I move the Hydro lever out to gear, it dies. If I hold the tiny switch with the roller on it with my finger in the neutral position, I can move the hydro forward or reverse and drive. Do I need a new switch or what is the problem?
Your seat switch is defective or disconnected.
