He is seeking information on an antique John Deere & Co plow he has rescued from the grips of a wrecker. : He believes it may be one of the earliest plows made by Deere & Co. and it was found amongst a lot of antique machinery at a relatives property at Wellington, NSW. : It is a single furrow Moldboard plow with two wheels & a pole for two horses. Moulded into components are the following details- On the foot rest is - "Gilpin", On the Wheel Arch is "DEERE & Co." We can take a photo & Email it if it will help identify the plow. : Are you able to pass this onto some one who can identify all relevant information on its origin, year of manufacture, and its relevance in making John Deere famous in the Agricultural world.
