GX 335 bought used 10 weeks ago: ran fine until last week (2-acre lawn all summer). Not showing signs of running extremely rich but could smell gas after shutting it down. Just ran rough and stalled out at low rpm's. Changed plugs, fuel filter, cleaned carb (some dirt) - no change. Just checked filter after reading this forum and found wrong air filter was installed (still bright white though). Externally vented model with internal type filter.
