Yes the price quote was from a dealer, but that was for a rebuild, lots of labor charges, they recommended I get a crate motor $2,800 and add the remaining components and add labor it would be $4,200 for all new. The tractor is not perfect it was used to mow around a lagoon for a paper mill side hilling at a 30 degree angle, thus the need for duelly tires, and the smaller tractor. I can't remember the exact hours, but I think somwhere around 2800, it is around 25 years old. Loader is in good shape, hydraulic fluid is clear, but I was haveing some radiator issues, so I would have to let it cool down every couple hours, then a loud pop later it was done. I rebuilt the top end,but exhaust was blowing by the rings. At this point due to the lack of adiquate tractor for where I use it the Mill is going with another contractor, so I don't think it would be wise to fix a tractor I can't use.
Thank you again for the help. With this added info is $2000 still a decent price to sell it for?
