I have had a chance to think about this one. Was the $5000 repair quote from your Deere dealer? Have you explored the possibility of getting an independant shop to repair it? What are the nature of the repairs, because I am thinking $5000 buys a LOT of parts? What does the rest of the tractor look like? Has it got huge amounts of hours and so worn out it's not worth fixing? Or is it a nice condition low hour machine that just happened to have the motor grenade on you?
