Hi there was just wondering if someone could help me out, does anyone know what the difference is between the 1936 and 1939 John deere B transmissions. Both are 4 speed( 2 high/low) but did they change the gear ratios or speed of the tractors at all ? I have a 36 B that I put the 39 gears into, all seems to fit and operate as it all should, however they changed the number of teeth on the idler gear. That appears to be the only difference.
Thanks Andrew
