I have an '83 JD 410 Backhoe/ Loader. I run the machine and after a few hours the battery loses charge. It seems that I am not getting the proper charge to the battery. I check voltage from the alternator and I get about 12.53 volts. That is the same as the new battery that I just installed. What should the Alternator be outputing? On the alternator there is a Motorola component. I am not sure what it is (Voltage Regulator?) I have cleaned and checked all the connections from the battery to the starter and to ground. What is my next move? Help!
Thanks,
Rich
