Without seeing both tractors, it's impossible to say which is the better tractor at this stage. When NEW, the GT225 would have been the better built tractor, but hours of usage,what kind of maintenance was done to it all play into it now. Whatr I will say is that a 42" deck won't cut measurably faster than the 38" deck you now have.
