Did the mechanic you had work on it drain the fuel tank and clean the fuel lines completely? There might have been some crud left over, or new crud came in since the repair. I am curious as to how insects got in the fuel system myself. Eggs laid near the tank vent?....... what does the inside of your fuel can look like that you use to buy gas? PLEASE DON'T use a match to see in the tank :D
