Normally if the filter was the problem it should have an effect on both directions. By changing the filter you can look for foreign material from the problem, if any. My guess is the tractor will have to be split at the clutch housing and the forward clutch pack removed and repaired. Most of the problems I have found with these is the steel sealing rings on the forward clutch manifold and the wear ring they run in. Cost will depend on what has to be replaced.If the sealing ring grooves in the clutch drum are good you might get out without spending very much. Maby 8-10 hours labor (I think). Check the pressure in for&rev first to make sure you don't have another problem we are overlooking.
