HELLO;; I just finished rebuilding thecarb on the ONAN B series IT"S the carb that has the fuel pump built on the side of the carb; Oh the carb, has the foam float, what a desaster. I only say this to lead to the Air adjuster and gas adjuster needles. The basic settings are ture the needles in so they seat back them out 1 1/2 turn. start the engine and fine tune them. The final setting will be within 1/2 turn of rough setting.. surging is genneraly caused be a lean /dirty carb. point blank.
