I likewise have discussed the Deere VS the Husquvarna and I agree no cruise, but unless you are traveling great distances, why then cruise. I believe it is an option that will fail. Spoke to several owners on the Husq, one has hilly terrain, and he states it really has to work when climbing the inclines, so I trial drove both of them. Even tho the Deere has .5 les in HP their Hydrostatic system when cutting or not will run circles around the competition. I also like Deeres safety feature for moving in reverse with the blade engaged. It has what I call a smart button which must be depresseed when first moving in reverse with the blade engaged. It's purpose so that the driver knows the mowers blade is engaged so that I would not do something stupid, as I have been known to do. Anyhow my money is the Deer, LA115, in fact I just purchased mine today, and delivery is 7/5/2008. We are all excited and anticipating delivery. I did see one other I really liked the Troy Built, a real looker priced at Lowe's at $999.00 + TAX SHIPPING ETC IF OTHER CHARGES.Deserves the shopper's looking into. It is a serious mower. The dislike was the thin mower deck, and believe it or not that stopped me, were it a heavier gauge, I would not have hesitated in buying the Troy Built, again I would have gone dealer, Lowe's has their financing if that is the way you are going and they honor none other. - Good Luck - Leon
