hi dick i just had the same problem with mine it would do the same thing and it got to the point that it was blowing fuses after a while it turns out that there was an internal short inside the eletric pto clutch i just put the new one on today and its like new again hope this helps by the way the new clutch is not cheap about $280.00 so you might want to eliminate all other possabilities beffore hand
