Since two years I own a John Deere 420 mower. It is a wonderful mower, and this winter I made a complete revision of the Onan B48G engine. Now it works great again, with lots of power.
But there is one problem: if I switch on the PTO-switch (the mower deck goes running) then the discharge light burns and diminish now and then, and after some minutes the mowing stops, the PTO-switch is still on but the PTO-light goes out also, even while the PTO switch remains “on”. Then I have to switch off and after that switch on the PTO-switch, after that I can mow for some minutes (while the discharge light keeps burning) until the problem with the PTO repeats.

Information:
John Deere 420 mower (1983 build)
Prod: M00420 X 285591
60” tricylcer mulch mowing

Can anybody help me?
