John - Check the cables, make sure the connections at both ends are clean. Also, the PTO switch and ignition switch connections must be clean. Over time, corrosion and dirt build up and can reduce the ability of the charging system. If that fails to solve the problem, you may need to check the output of the stator and voltage regulator. - Dave
