GT262 Cranks but will not start

Hi,
I have a John Deere GT262 with a 17hp Kawasaki engine. It was running fine though the battery was weak. I charged the battery. now the engine cranks fine but will not start. I checked for spark, fuel and compression. I got all three. Does any one have any idea what this might be?
