I have a JD 170. Until I blasted it with lube, mine sqeaked where the front axle mounts to the frame. This allows the front wheels to follow the countours of the ground in relation to the rear wheels. It's a tripod sort of thing. Minor problem, my 170 has been a great tractor for 21 years.
