I have a Deere 425 AWS that sits in an unheated garage all winter. Prior to storage, everything works fine. However, each spring when I try to use it, none of the hydraulics work. It may try to move forward or backward slightly, but then would stop and no longer move. In past, added some hydraulic fluid to the transmission and eventually it would move forward and back and all other item would start working as well - such as steering and deck lift. Sometimes had to leave stand for a few days before everything would start working. Once they started working - I would have no further problems for the entire summer. However, this spring now, it moved forward a little and stopped. Added some hydraulic fluid and did not fix. Moved a short distance and stopped again. Tried waiting, adding a little more fluid, and nothing works. Run motor at high speed to warm up and still nothing hydraulic works - i.e. no drive, no steering, and no deck lift. Did notice that when I try to use any hydraulic item, such a trying to move - the transmission fluid flows up and out the filler tube or the top transmission vent. It is all foamy and whitish looking. Tried adding back some fluid and sometimes I can get it to move forward and back for a short distance, but again it stops. Again fluid comes out the top and all stops. Running the engine till warm has not effect. Any ideas? HELP!
