I took the plate off the mowing deck height adjuster, and found that a spring was attached to the body of the tractor, but to nothing else. When i move the height lever, it moves freely with no stress. It 'falls' down to one, even if i try to lock it into 4. The lock won't work. I can only lower the deck to 1.
