john deere 318 no spark

i have a Deere 318 with an onan engine. After it runs a bit like 5 minutes it will just shut off and will not restart due to no spark after it sits for a while (20) minutes it has spark and runs it does not do this all the time.Any sugestions would be helpful thanks Todd
