2510 hydraulic issues

Have a JD 2510 that the hydraulic hoses pulse and the pump "chatters and ticks". The bucket and the three point hitch are slow to respond.
It sounds to me like the hydraulic pump is shot, but I wanted to know if anyone had any ideas of anything else that could be wrong
