John, your best bet would be to inspect the entire steering system for damage. All the way from the steering wheel to the tie rod ends and all points in between. Pay attention to any marks or other areas that appear to have been subjected to being pushed or crushed. If the movers packed things on top of the mower or shoved the mower back into a corner they could have damaged it. It would be like squeezing blood from a rock to get any compensation from the movers for damage to the mower (no sir, it was like that when we loaded it...) but you never know. Main thing would be to get the damage repaired before the heavy use season.
