My brakes weren't working so I tried to adjust them. I can turn the bolt enough to get the brakes to stay on all the time but the pedal doesn't seem to engage or do anything. If I loosen the bolt then it stays off. I looked under while someone was pushing on them and the linkage seems to be moving. I can't see very well though. Is there something else easy that I could look at or do you have other advice on what the problem might be? Thank you for your help.
