JD 318 Power Loss

After JD 318 gets hot usually after running about
15-20 minutes the tractor starts to lose power as
if pulling a real heavy load and lugs down and
starts to run poorly and miss. I belief the
carburetor may need some work but when it loses power I do not see
any black smoke as if the carburetor is flooding.
Any ideas?
