I also own a jd 302 gas. This is a commercial tractor that was sold to thousands of local cities and municipalities across the country for mowing parks and interstates. It is a 50 horse tractor and a very proven model. It comes in both gas and diesel 50 horse power units. Originally it was designed with a front end loader. Not all units have the 3-point hitch. For what you want to use it for it will do a fine job. You can order the manual from ManualUSA.com $4000 is a very good price if is runs well and has good rubber. I just bought mine and paid $4800. Other units on the web sell up to $11,000. It's a great mid-size tractor with a parking gear. It weights about 4500 pounds and will require a car carrier trailer and good size truck to transport. The important thing is to make sure it runs well.
