: I had a 175 with the same problem. I finally found the problem was a disconnected seat switch. the plug that connects to the seat switch has a switch built inside it which closes when you pull the connector off the seat switch. Other thing it could be is your pto switch.
I HAVE A STX38.SAME PROBLEM.WEAK BATTERY IS THE CULPRET.WHEN FULLY CHARGED WORKS FINE.WHEN BATTERY IS LOW,BLADES DISENGAGE & MOTOR SOMETIMES DIES.GOOD LUCK!
