My JD 214 won't start. Seems to have gas and spark. Backfires when trying to start. Cranks well. The tractor, while old, is in pretty good condition. However, I'm not sure I want to invest a great deal of money to fix it. I'd like to get an idea of what is wrong before I decide whether fixing it is the right thing. I'm looking for suggestions as to what might be wrong with the machine. Any ideas?
