Painting my JD B?

I am about to start painting my JD B and am woundering if there is any books or something that I can get so my tractor is painted the correct colors. What about a hardener? What type? I am using a paint from my local farm store (TSC) but they do not know anything. I have talked to alot of people that said that paint is just as good as JD Dealer paint is. What hardener do I use if any. What about a clear coat? Do I need one? Thanks Brad
