I have a 1965 International 424 diesel tractor and I have the following starter issue.
When the battery is a little low the starter motor keeps cranking even though I turned the ignition key to the off position. This drains the battery down and all of the wires get hot. I am afraid it will catch on fire.
I am unable to stop the starter from cranking and draining the battery until I pull the cables off the battery to stop it.
Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance for all of the help I can get.
