Devin: I don't know much about a 434, however it has to have a hydraulic filter. Should be on the suction side of pump. If that filter is plugged it could be starving pump of oil. Check and if necessary change before you operate the tractor much. Pumps starved of oil don't last very long.
If that is not the problem, it has to be in the control valve or pressure relief valve. I you can find an IH service manual, it should have a good trouble shooting section on those valves.
