My old 424 leaks transmission fluid when it has the proper amount of fluid. The fluid leaks out the bottom of the housing around an access plate on the bottom of the tractor which is used to access the throwout bearing to grease the bearing.I am assuming that the fluid is actually leaking from the front yransmission seal where the transmission bolts to the flywheel. My question is does this seem reasonable that the front seal is leaking and flowing back and down and running out the bottom through the access plate I previosly described? I would like to be sure before I split the tractor to replace seal.
