The plate on top of the transmission that stops the PTO lever can be removed, flipped over, and reinstalled. The PTO-off position is in the center. Flipping the plate allows the lever to travel the other direction, which engages the other speed. Lever moving forward is the 540 position. Lever moving rearward is the 1250 position.
