If you are saying they go out , back on , out and back on I'm thinking some one has installed a circuit breaker inleau of a fuse and you may only need to replace it with a heavier one or it would be a good idea to check current draw to see what they are actually drawing. You may have one light short circuted causing breaker to trip also, if so, that light or lights will not come on or will be noticeably dim.
