Super A and Super C engine are practically the same, if not the same.
As for the battery drain, check your battery cables and wiring harness for exposed wires that could be grounding out somewhere. Also, if you think your generator isn't charging take it and the regulator off and bring them to an auto electric shop and have them tested.
You only need to replace your belts if they are cracked or if they can no longer be tightened enough to spin the generator.
