Andreas: If this is Blue Ribbon Service manual the engine is usually separate. But watch that chassis manual, those are 3 ring books and usually each topic has it's own chapter. I've seen them with chapters missing.

Bear in mind I'm most familiar with US built IH tractors. Your 464 is a British tractor, I'm not sure they handle it the same.
