Duane: No other way for hydraulc oil to enter the crankcase. The pump shaft must be worn. There is a device called speedy sleeve can cure this. Ask where you get pump seals.

I'd also get an opinion, on whether pump may be beyond repair. Two quarts in 45 min. is a lot of oil. I'm surprised hydraulic system will function.
