I removed the valve cover on my "M" to look at a couple of stuck valves. When the cover came off there was a lot of rust on the rockers and valve springs. Especially the ones for #1 and #4 cylinder. Anyway, it was obvious that I needed to clean it up so when I started to loosen the forward bolt on the rocker arm assembly, coolant was running out of the bolt hole. I am pretty sure that these bolts don't go into the water jacket. I am pretty sure that the head must be cracked for this to happen, but just wanted to ask before I spend the money. Any input from the experts?
