The problem is right at the lever, quadrant itself, it is allowing the drive selector to move back in just a tad, might be that quadrant is loose or worn a little where lever rides, however at any rate you will need to do a little adjusting . When you put lever to side toward fwd or rev it pushes or pulls selector spool in or out and it must move correct distance. As you advance lever it is allowing this spool to move back toward neutral and it should not. Not a serious problem.
