I was having hydraulic problems with my IH 340 Utility tractor. I called the service department at a local dealership, they told me to start with changing the main filter, then after that, they were going to have me buy the new pump and install it. Instead, I read your post and pointed the tractor down hill and it worked. So the pump just lost prime (because I let the fluid level get too low), and it needed help getting it back. So your post saved me about $300.00 and alot more work, so thanks.
