A 185 isnt going to be much better. The MAIN difference in the engine is the bore of the cylinders, and chances are the Cub is already the same as the 185, unless its still original and hasnt been rebuilt. You may a very slight difference, but not much.The clutch cn be a pain, if its not taken care of and not serviced properly, and VERY expensive to repair! One thing I do have to ask, your mower is setup for a Cub with a reverse rotation, right? I have seen more than one person who thought the problem was his tractor, and it was the fact they bought the wrong mower for it.
