Ed: First off, forget about that advertized rated horsepower. Both tractors have the same engine.
I have a 60" Woods on my Super A, it runs it well, but I can't imagine trying to mow with less hp. If there is one fault I have with the Super A for mowing, it's too high around big trees with low hanging limbs. I have a guy trying to sell me an 8N, and I'm tempted just for the mowing.
I've never used a Cub to mow with, but my dad bought a Cub new, just about half the tractor a Super A is.
