Sure appreciate this forum.
I took the half-inch hex-head setscrew out the the top of the pump, and lost it in the wood chips (saved the little spring). Purchased a new setscrew at the hardware, but it screws all the way in and fits loosely. I'm thinking the original screw must have been both fine thread AND tapered. Does anybody know. And where to get one?
